BMW Z4 Firewall Braces (E85/E86)

Our Z4 Firewall Braces offer a combination of form and function. All Z4s came from the factory with hollow tube steel firewall braces that connect from the center of the firewall to the corners of the shock towers. These tubes are generally pretty sturdy but the mounting points leave a lot to be desired. BMW just flattened out the steel tubes and drilled a hole through, making the attachment points the weak link. 

Our models are made of solid billet aluminum to match our strut tower cross brace and have a thicker design for the mounting area while still utilizing factory hardware. In addition to being a structural upgrade, they are also designed to visually complete the look of your engine bay when combined with our Z4 strut tower brace.

This product is CNC machined out of 6061-T6 grade aluminum.

Finish
All our strut brace products are finished in Prismatic Powders Desert Night powder coat, which is a "wrinkle black" finish.

Fitment / Compatibility
These pieces fit all E85 Z4 roadsters and all E86 Z4 coupes, including M models. 

NOTE: Some very early models may have down-facing bolts attaching the braces instead of upward facing threaded studs with nuts. If this describes your car, please email us before placing your order to confirm any hardware you may need.

Installation Instructions
It will likely take you longer to find your socket wrench than to install these. Simply remove the 4 nuts holding your factory braces, remove the braces and replace with our Strong Strut models, and replace the nuts. Torque to 30 foot pounds.
